About me and my business
I am often asked how I got into piano work. Before I became a piano technician, I worked in several different jobs and fields, looking for the right long-term career. I'm a lifelong musician (and piano player), but I never knew about the field of piano technology until the career path was suggested to me by someone who knows me very well. It worked out!
I started working as a piano technician in the Fall of 2022, apprenticing one day a week in a piano rebuilding shop while also working at a local restaurant. Shortly after starting, I applied to North Bennet Street School in Boston and completed their full-time piano technology training program and a three-month internship. In the fall of 2024, I returned to the Bay Area and have since enjoyed tuning and repairing pianos for residents, schools, and churches in the communities where I grew up.

My favorite part of working as a piano technician is both the creative problem-solving that piano work requires, and getting to know the people I tune for every day. My priorities in my business are high-quality work, honesty, and thoughtful and thorough communication with everyone I meet.
